Matrix provides full integration with a wide range of technologies ranging from messaging systems and protocols to databases and generic data media as well as providing an easy to use toolkit for the creation of custom adapters.

Handle multiple integration jobs simultaneously
Uniquely, each Matrix instance can handle many transactions concurrently. In addition each transaction can in its own right manage the delivery of data from one or more source systems to one or more destination systems.

Connected integration broker instances
Matrix instances can be configured to communicate with each other in order to link transactions to form Virtual Transactions. These instances can be running on separate networks or even in different organisations.

Remote administration
The ability to link Matrix instances is further supported by the fact that Matrix instances can be remotely administered. The sleek Matrix Monitor GUI allows for many Matrix instances to be remotely administered from a single location. With the correct security privileges Matrix instances in one organisation can be remotely controlled from partner organisations.

Robust Technology
Matrix stores all transactions on disk in order to facilitate full resilience in the event that an outage occurs in any of the source / destination systems. Through this persistence Matrix supports full message tracking, audit and replay.

Matrix Adapters

Matrix provides many bi-directional conduits (adapters) that can be deployed quickly and easily to create Matrix transactions. Common Matrix conduits include:

  • Nirvana is the my-channels message oriented middleware product. Matrix provides full support for the rich functionality provided by Nirvana publish / subscribe and Nirvana queues.
  • JMS
    Matrix provides full integration support for any JMS compliant messaging system.
  • Database
    Integration with any JDBC compliant database is supported by my-channels. Matrix also provides automatic translation from database result sets to XML. For databases that support it, Matrix provides for polling and non-polling data retrieval.<
  • Oracle Advanced Queue
    Matrix supports integration with Oracle Advanced Queue.
  • MQ
    Full integration is provided with IBM MQ Series queues.
  • TIBCO Rendezvous
    Matrix features comprehensive support for Tibco messaging via the Tibco Rendezvous daemon.
  • Talarian SmartSockets
    The Talarian SmartSockets server is supported by Matrix.
  • SoftWired IBus
    The Matrix IBus conduit provides integration with IBus topics.
  • Socket
    The Matrix socket retriever acts as a server socket, listening for connections, and reading data from a socket, the socket receiver writes data to a socket connection with a remote server socket.
  • FTP
    Matrix provides FTP integration with all FTP servers.
  • File
    Matrix supports all file based integration.
  • SMTP
    The Matrix SMTP conduit will send or retrieve email . Full support is provided for pop3 and imap.
  • Microsoft MSMQ
