Nirvana Installation

Post-Installation

When the installation is complete you will be ready to run your Nirvana Realm Server and start developing your first Nirvana applications. It is recommended that you get familiar with the product's directory structure under your installation folder, specified during the installation. The following 2 tables illustrate how your directory structure may look in a win32 and unix environment, assuming that the realm name specified was Nirvana:

 

Win32

Directory
Description
server/Nirvana/bin Contains scripts, native launchers, certificate stores for running the Nirvana Realm server
server/Nirvana/data Nirvana Realm server data directory, contains all configuration files, channel and queue persistent stores as well as the server log file
server/Nirvana/plugins Contains nhp/nhps server side plugin configuration, support libraries and log files
bin Contains libraries and executables for the Nirvana ActiveX bridge
classes Contains the compiled Java classes for the Nirvana sample applications
jre Contains the Java Runtime Environment if a package with that option was installed
UninstallerData Contains Uninstall application and data
doc Contains product and API documentation
lib Contains all necessary JAR libraries for Realm server and client applications
client/Nirvana/bin Contains scripts, native launchers, certificate stores for running the Nirvana sample applications
client/Nirvana/JMS Stores the FileSystem JNDI provider .bindings file if that provider is chosen
