Nirvana for Compact Framework Released
In February 2010, in line with our recent push into mobile territory, we ported our C# .NET API to support mobile devices via the .NET Compact Framework. Our Nirvana Compact Framework API is the result of these efforts. Nirvana now natively supports Windows Compact Framework, Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and J2ME mobile devices.
The Nirvana Compact Framework API provides .NET mobile developers with a high-performance solution for real-time message delivery between Windows Mobile devices and any other enterprise, web or mobile clients or services. Developers can also add powerful guaranteed messaging capabilities to existing .NET Compact Framework applications quickly and reliably using our comprehensive API.
The API supports .NET Compact Framework 3.5 development with Visual Studio 2008, and has been tested with popular commercial handheld devices running Windows Mobile 5 and 6. The pure .NET Nirvana API is processor-independent, and can run on any device supported by Compact Framework without the need for recompilation on a per-device basis.
Take a look at the Compact Framework Developer's page for more information, and to download full source for our standard Nirvana-powered demonstration Compact Framework application, Tradespace.
